Hello,
We have a Windows 2000 server which is currently visualized under vmware server 2.0
We'd like to convert it to Hyper-V. Unfortunately when trying to scan the system (to install the agent), via "Convert a Physical Server we get the error message:
Agent installation failed on srv12345.
Try the operation again. If the problem persists, install the agent locally and then add the managed computer.
ID: 410
Details: Not enough storage is available to process this command (0x8)
I've read this is actually a generic message and nothing to do with disk space. But we have plenty (10GB+) of disk space on srv12345.
We've done several p2v's machine conversions on 2000/2003 (vmware server) to Hyper-V in the past, all have been running completely fine for months.
Trying to install the agent manually (copying the files from our SCVMM machine -\\srvSCVMM2012\c$\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012\Virtual Machine Manager\agents\p2v\i386), running msiInstaller.exe it fails with error:
C:\temp\msiInstaller.exe is not a valid Win32 application
Any ideas what the problem could be? Or anywhere I can see a log for the error?
Thanks
